WD - Deck Division "Boats" also known as Bubs. These guys steer the ship and look out for other ships that crossed our path, hooked up fuel line stations that received close to one half a million gallons of fuel. When Flight Quarters was called away they were there directing the helo, on deck and in the air. Towing targets, retrieving Oscars and small boat service was also a common responsibility for WD. Paint, paint, paint and more paint. Painting never stopped throughout the deployment. Either hanging over the side underway or using a paint float, the ship expects to moor portside to "belay that", "starboard side to", "no anchor out", no matter what, WD did it.
