LCDR C. C. WILLIS, was born in Tennessee. He received his commission from the U.S. Naval Academy. He was assigned to duty as Operations Officer on the USS ASSURENCE (MSO-521). Upon completion of his tour, he attended Oceanographic Analyst School and in Dec. 1975 was assigned to the Oceanographic Research Station in Shelburne, N. S. Canada. After 3 yrs. there he attended Surface Warfare Dept. Head course. Enroute duty as Material Officer of Destroyer Squadron Thirty-Three. He arrived on board USS BREWTON as Executive Officer March 1985.

LCDR Willis was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and received 2 Navy Meritorious Unit Commendations.

LCDR Willis is married to the former Nancy A. Fowler of Union, S.C. They have one daughter.
