Our stop in Guam was quite brief. We arrived on 19 Oct for refueling and to enjoy one night liberty. We got underway the next morning with the 3 other units in desron 33. Our spirits were high and we anxiously began to feel an excitement about our return to Pearl Harbor and our loved ones.
