These are photos of the Taiwanese frigate ROCN FONG YANG FFG-933 (Ex USS BREWTON FF-1086). After the USS Brewton was decommissioned from the United States Navy in 1992, she was leased to Taiwan where she has been ever since. These photos were donated by K.H.Chen, who served aboard the ship from February 1993 to December 1994. They were taken in October, 2005.

Chen provided these details about recent upgrades to the ship:

Fong-Yang recently was taken the Wu Chin III program. This upgrade involved the installation of the H930 Modular Combat System (MCS) with Signaal DA08 air search radar and Signaal STIR missile control radar directing 10 boxes launched Standard SM-1 surface-to-air missiles. The system can track 24 targets simultaneously and attack four with an 8 second response time. Although those equipments transplanted from a decommissioned destroyer, not the new one, it make Fong-Yang to have some area air defense power she didn't have.
